4" Iris Angel

Margaret’s inspiration for the Iris Angel came from seeing the wild irises blooming in an Oregon field as spring began to blossom into summer.
The symbolism of the top three petals of the bloom is faith, wisdom and valor. The whole blossom is also the inspiration for the Fleur-de-lis symbol used throughout Europe as a royal emblem.

The 5" 1980 Caroler Angel

The “Caroler” is Margaret Furlong’s first limited edition angel and the first design in the five-year limited edition “Musical” series. The angel holds a songbook and sings the praises of the Christ Child’s birth. It is appropriate that this is the first limited edition angel Margaret created since it is a confirmation of her faith and her desire to express this part of her life through her art.
